ANYONE CAN COOK

RATATOUILLE (2007)
– 4 out of 5 stars

For those who have watched Ratatouille, they would know that the title is Gusteau’s motto – anyone can cook. It was a really enjoyable movie and I enjoyed almost all of Remy’s antics – like keeping his paws clean so he can handle food, or the explosion of senses as he bites into and mixes food. My favourite character is Emile, his brother! He’s so fat, cute and a little bit of senseless but his support for his brother is commendable. Not to mention his penchant for eating ‘don’t know’, ‘paper cartons’ and ‘garbage’. The final scene of preparing the title dish to food critic, Anton Ego, ended with a twist and seeing how he accepted the idea that a rat can cook and to watch for its surprise is kinda heartwarming.
